We took Gwynn to the Birmingham Zoo for the first time on Sunday. It was a bit overcast and drizzled on the way over, but it turned out to be fun and the zoo ended up being nearly deserted.
Gwynn and Mommy stopped to pose by the Macaws. They were loud.
It seemed a bit chilly when we first got there, so Gwynn was rocking the owl hat.
Here is a picture of a Tiger lying down. I think it’s symbolic of Auburn’s season this year.
Gwynn checking out a lion.
“I like Lions!”
“I AM a lion!”
Here’s Gwynn getting mooned by a wild hog.
Here Gwynn and Daddy are posing in front of the Zebras. She liked them.
Gwynn also really liked the Giraffes.
Mommy and daughter enjoying the Zoo.
Gwynn and Daddy loved watching the animals.
Roll Tide!
Mommy and Gwynn posing with the elephant. They had to climb the fence to get so close and the zoo employees got mad, but I think the picture is worth it. That elephant was MAD though.
Gwynn getting a better look at the Rhinos. They did not smell good.
Daddy feeding the ducks.
Staring contest with a flamingo. Daddy won.
Kind of a weird thing to ask us to do, but we did. Probably lost over $1.50 in nickels and dimes.
Daddy posing with Harry Potter.
…and she’s out!
We’ll definitely be getting a membership to the Zoo…we can’t wait to go back!
