S'mores!

Daddy, Mommy, and Pop put together a fire pit in the yard and despite it being late July Mommy just *had* to put it to use.

Mmm... s'mores!

"It's late July honey, this is hot."

Luke in a nutshell.

We found some old glasses and Luke decided to act like Benjamin Franklin.

Last Day in D.C.

We only stayed in D.C. for about 48 hours, so when  Monday morning rolled around it was time to pack up.

Mommy and the kids were dropped off and walked to the White House while Daddy circled around.

As close as you can get.

As we headed back home we came across the Watergate Hotel.

Sunday afternoon in D.C.

After going back to the apartment and getting changed we took the Metro into the capital.

The best museum was the Natural History Museum.

The kids loved the stuffed animals.

This elephant was HUGE!

On our way to the U.S. History Museum we got some food from one of the many food trucks. Yum!

The U.S. History Museum was by far the most boring from the outside.

As soon as you got in there was the Bat-mobile though.

Runaway bus!

The one thing we really wanted to see - the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz - were off display and wouldn't be back for months. :(

Washington monument.

Nothing makes Luke quite as happy as the chance to build something.

Daddy's favorite thing - the Jefferson Memorial

Belchers and Boulwares playing together in perfect harmony.

We headed towards the Lincoln Memorial but the Boulwares headed home.

Vietnam Memorial.
