It’s getting close to Halloween so that means it’s time to make a trip to a pumpkin patch. Before we left Tuscaloosa we had Pop take a few pictures.
It’s nigh impossible to get 4 people to pose for a picture at the same time when two of them are Luke and Gwynn.
The first thing Luke spotted at the Pumpkin patch was a big ole tractor. He begged to sit on it.
This is the look of a man that just got everything he wished for, and now has nothing else to look forward to.
“What now?”
Heading into the corn maze.
Luke pointed out every ear of corn he found on the ground and said, “Eww!”
A brief respite from running around in the maze.
Luke pointing at some animals.
Ahhh, liability laws.
The kids thought this chicken was hilarious.
The cow got tired of Daddy yelling “Mooo” at him.
This could have been a great picture if the kids had cooperated.
Snack break!
Working on her fake smile. It’s getting better.
Climbing the hay mountain.
Riding a horse made out of rubber.
Luke isn’t happy that Gwynn gets a turn.
Gwynn is though.
Trying to hold back a smile.
Having fun trying to grab Gwynn’s hand as she swings towards him.
The fellow that took this picture wasn’t up to date on his camera technology. He took 423 pictures in about 3 seconds but this is the best one we got.
After a short hayride it was time to do what we came for: get a pumpkin.
Daddy found his quick, but he isn’t quite as picky as the kids.
This is where Daddy figured it was a bad idea to carry his pumpkin around because we were going to be looking for pumpkins for at least the next 4 hours.
Guarding her pumpkin.
Onward to the perfect pumpkin!
Teamwork.
Mommy trying to help find the perfect pumpkin.
There was a big civil war reenactment going on during the weekend. There was a camp next to the pumpkin patch and we passed it on the way back to the main area.
Daddy telling the kids stories of battles, canons and state sovereignty.
One last snack before heading out, but Luke also wanted to dance. Each time we tried to take his picture he’d freeze.
Open wide!
Mmmm
Fun times.
