- Gwynn’s vocabulary has gotten bigger. She’ll say “juice” when she gets home from daycare and “paci” when she wants her pacifier. She’s started to use more two word sentences– the best is “love you”.
- Gwynn is a great hugger. She gives great “good night” kisses too. She loves hugging Luke and has even laid on top of him a time or too (with all of her weight on top of him) while giving him a hug and kiss. Good thing he’s a big boy!
- She’s gotten very particular about her clothing, especially her shoes. She has 3 or 4 pairs of shoes depending on the outfit and weather and sometimes it’s hard to get her to put on the right shoes if she’s got her mind set on some other pair.
- She loves to color, even though it’s more like scribbling. Mommy traced her hand for a Valentine’s card one time and she will try to trace her own hand every time she has paper and a crayon.
- She has started to get possessive of her toys. She gets mad at Luke if she thinks he’s taking something of hers. He loves grabbing her Ellie and her Monkey (the loveys she sleeps with). He also loves grabbing her hair and has even pulled a pretty big clump out!
- We hope to get Gwynn potty-trained over Spring Break. She’s showing lots of interest in the potty, but is not using it consistently. She’ll take her animals to use the potty, but not herself!
- When we pick Gwynn up from daycare she’ll jump up and run to us the second she hears our voice or sees us come in the door. She’ll run to get her jacket and Luke’s bottle bag. She even pulls Luke’s car seat out of the corner and gets it ready for him…she is so sweet.
- On the other hand, the temper tantrums have started. When Gwynn wants to do something herself (feed herself, walk by herself, etc) she’ll scream “No!!!”, “Me!!!”, or “Mine!!!” until we give in. It’s a very, very high pitched scream, so if we are in public we usually have to give in pretty quickly. We are able to stand our ground at home though…hopefully this phase will end pretty soon.
