After our Christmas lunch, we all went to Zoolight Safari at the Birmingham Zoo.
Pop was there too, but he acted as our photographer for much of the night.
Gwynn was pretty quiet about the experience – which was free for us since Grandma and Pop got us a zoo membership for Christmas. This was our first time to try it out.
We took turns holding Gwynn which kept us warm. She’s quite the space heater.
We rode on the carousel…that was fun!
Many of the lights, like the ones in the background here, were timed with Christmas music which was neat.
Here’s cousin Grace petting a deer.
Here’s cousin Grace posting on Facebook about petting a deer.
Here we are getting ready to ride on the train.
Gwynn was wide eyed on the train ride.
That’s because the train goes the speed of light! That, or Daddy has a hard time with the night setting on the camera.
We were going pretty fast.
Grandma comforted Gwynn after the crazy train ride. It took a lot out of her.
Daddy never misses an opportunity to make a fool of himself.
Some of the lights were patriotic.
While other lights tried to sell chicken sandwiches.
Daddy never EVER misses an opportunity to make a fool of himself.
Going, going, going…
Gone!
We had a lot of fun. It was a bit chilly, but definitely worth it.
