At 5 months Gwynn can do a lot.
- Gwynn hasn’t had a doctor’s visit this month, so we’re not sure of her height and weight, but she’s outgrown a lot of her clothes that fit only a month ago, so she’s definitely growing! Our next appointment is January 16th…we can’t wait to see how much she’s grown!
- She hasn’t cut any teeth yet. She’s drooled enough to fill a 10 gallon drum, but she hasn’t actually shown any teeth yet.
- Gwynn’s feeding schedule is a bit different than in the past. For the last few month she ate every 4 hours and we tried to get her to skip a feeding between 10:00pm and 6:00am. Now she’ll eat at 6am,10am,2pm and then we’ll kind of play it by ear. Most nights she’ll eat around 6 0’clock. For this feeding we load her up with some real food – carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, apples, or her favorite: oatmeal. Then we’ll give her a normal sized bottle and that will generally tide her over until the morning. We’re not on a terribly strict schedule when it comes to the late feeding.
- She sleeps through the night just about every night. We’ll put her to bed around 8:00 or 8:30pm and she’ll sleep until 6:00am. Many times we’ll have to wake her up.
- Gwynn can sit up! She wasn’t due to do that for a while, but one night at her uncle’s house she managed to sit up on her own – with some supervision for her inevitable tip to one side or the other.
- Gwynn can roll with the best of them. She can also get up on her toes like a push up position. She can’t crawl, but she can generally get to things by rolling or contorting her body one way or another.
- She loves to squeal! When she’s playing with toys on the floor or playing in her jumper, she’ll squeal really loudly.
