Toyota Open House

Aunt Julie works at Toyota in Huntsville. They had an Open House with games, food, and a tour of the factory. It was really awesome!

The kids loved the Treasure Hunt through the factory looking for symbols to fill up their board. They had to find the symbol and collect the sticker. If they found 6 symbols throughout the factory, they got a prize!

Coolest part of the tour was the robot. He (I guess it was a "he") spun a wheel to play a song, then danced to the song; played math games, then got a piece of gum out of a gumball machine if you got the answer right; and built minecraft people out of boxes. It was really cool.

Julie's department was in charge of this game. The kids used a catapult to launch marshmallows. They even got a kit to take home to make their own!

Painting pumpkins!

Visiting Aunt Julie's work definitely reinforced the fact that Gwynn and Luke want to be engineers. They're pretty sure all Aunt Julie does is paint pumpkins and play games though.

Mimi came up for the day too. We got to give her the birthday gift we had made!

It's "the church in the middle of nowhere!" It's actually the church in Sturgis, MS that we go to for Decoration Day each year. My friend, Rorie Scroggins, did a great job painting it!
