One of Gwynn and Luke's favorite things to do in the afternoons is play in the front yard. They wait for Daddy to get home and when he pulls in the driveway they jump in the front seat and ride down the driveway with him. They get SO excited!

Grandparents Day at the McWane Center
The McWane center had a grandparents night and Mimi, Pop, and Grandma went with the kiddos.
We spent most of the time in Itty Bitty Magic City.
Luke enjoyed serving pretend food.
“I’m sorry, your card has been declined”
Servin’ up some food to Grandma.
Fixing a car.
“Ah, jeez, man, this is gonna cost you”
“He’s right, you’re screwed”
And the award for least excited to milk a cow award goes to…
“My babysitting”
“I need a pooper scooper STAT”
“I hope you know you’re going to have to come up here to drag me out of here kicking and screaming”
Kate trying out the bed of nails.
An interactive video game that is more fun to watch than it is to play. Here Kate is knocking down invisible soccer balls.
They had a science demonstration that involved loud noises. Gwynn is showing off her ear protection.
Luke shows a bit of trepidation.
Daddy ballin’.
Jaws.
Luke doing a wheelchair race.
Getting wet.

More presents for Luke!
One thing we couldn’t do at Home Depot was open presents. So Luke had lots to open when we got home from the soccer game. Thankfully he had lots of helpers!
One of Luke’s favorite presents from one of his friends was a Spiderman web shooter. It lasted for about 2 minutes, but it was fun!!
Birthday Presents
Luke got more presents before his party courtesy of Aunt Jen and Grandma and Pop.
He’s very excited even though he doesn’t know what it is yet. Good thing he didn’t look at the sides.
Figuring out what it is.
He loves it.
Luke also got a train table from Grandma and Pop. It fits perfectly in the corner of his room.
Inspecting it.
“Is she going to be able to play with all my toys?”
First soccer game
Luke started his soccer career on the day we celebrated his birthday. After the party we made a quick change into his uniform and then went to the soccer field.
Daddy was supposed to be an assistant, but once he got there he was promoted to head coach, which he quickly rejected. Another parent with more experience took the reins (though Daddy was the head man for all the other games).
Luke did a pretty good job in the beginning.
Gwynn and Kate playing on another goal.
Luke looking stoic.
Daddy spent a little too much time trying to corral Luke.
Going for a goal.
“Luke… what are you doing?”
Things heading downhill.
Better.
Luke violating the #1 rule of soccer. At least he was engaged.
