Mimi, Aunt Sherry and Uncle Kenny went camping at Oak Mountain and we decided to visit them to see if the kids might want to go camping themselves.
Checking out Mimi’s tent.
A view of the set up. They’ve got running water, electricity and a building with a shower and bathroom 50 yards away.
“Who wants to go camping?” Gwynn isn’t so sure yet.
Kenny grilling while Gwynn looks for firewood, which for her was a bunch of pine straws.
Luke sneaking a cheese puff.
It doesn’t take much to entertain Luke sometimes.
Luke is happy about his hamburger.
Gwynn is more of a cheese puff person.
Gwynn blowing on a burning marshmallow.
Luke prefers his marshmallows raw.
The campsite was next to a playground with several swings and perhaps the scariest slide ever. It must be 30 years old and was narrow at the top with no barriers on the sides so the kids could fall down about 10 feet fairly easily.
“You better gimme that marshmallow!”
