Visiting Aunt Jen in Georgia

We decided to take a trip to visit Aunt Jen for the weekend. The kids were looking forward to spending time with their cousins (and Aunt Jen and Uncle Jack).

The air mattress was a big hit!

On Saturday we went to the “Yellow River Game Ranch.” It was a little depressing seeing the animals fenced in or in cages, but some animals were allowed to roam free.

We were all pretty terrified of the chickens. They were very aggressive!

We all loved feeding the bunnies…

We spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get food to this bird. Since the bottom of his cage was opened we couldn’t just throw food in there and feeding him out of our hands was out of the question (he was a little scary).

Finally got it!  Jackie created a diversion on one side of the cage and I stuck a piece of food onto the side ledge of the cage. It took 4 adults with multiple college degrees WAY TOO LONG to figure that out!

The last time Jeff and I visited the Game Ranch the deer were allowed to roam free…I wonder what happened??

Gwynn really enjoyed feeding the deer.
