Blue Bell

With a long summer we decided we had to find some activities to do that weren’t too expensive and unique (we can’t do the zoo every day).

Mommy booked a trip to the Blue Bell Factory in Sylacauga. It was inexpensive, educational and actually pretty cool. Oh yeah, free ice cream at the end!

Abbie and Emerson came along with us. Here they are checking out the “floor” where they package the ice cream. They don’t make every flavor at the plant in Sylacauga and in fact they don’t make each flavor every day. On this day they were only making 3-4 flavors.

“Mmmmm”

Good thing it’s tough glass because Luke would have broken through if it wasn’t.

They don’t want pictures during the tour so that’s all we got but it was interesting even if it wasn’t a very long tour. However, the real reason to come is ICE CREAM.

Luke and Emerson are getting pretty good at feeding themselves.

Of course Gwynn wanted the ice cream that was most likely to stain clothing. It’s just plain vanilla with food coloring but Gwynn insisted.

One more look on the way out.

Happy kids with full bellies. We’ll be back!
