Since A-Day was a weekend we were going to be in Tuscaloosa anyway we decided to take the kids to their first “game”. It was free and would give us a chance to see if it would be worth taking them to a real game in the fall (spoiler: it isn’t).
Luke decided not to nap in the morning. Bad decision Luke.
Pop and Aunt Jen came with us for backup in case one of the kids needed to head out early. Since parking and the game didn’t cost anything it wasn’t a big deal if a certain little boy needed to go home early in the second half because he got cranky due to skipping his morning nap.
Gwynn enjoyed the snack aspect of the game.
“No no no! Don’t run a toss to the short side of the field. Come on Kiffin!”
“I think these slot receivers will be pretty good for us down the road”
Luke will be taking the field in about 17 years as an offensive lineman.
“Hey, I heard you. Are you saying I’m fat?”
Luke pointing out who the blitzing LB would be on this play.
Thankfully the NCAA allows athletes to get fed as much as they can eat so Luke won’t go hungry.
Football takes a backseat to cotton candy.
We’re working on getting Luke to wear an actual Alabama hat. Maybe by the fall.
Gwynn wouldn’t stand next to inflatable Big Al by herself.
Pink Alabama hat! Yay!
Getting a little tired…
…and she’s out.
