Trip to Gwynn’s Island (Post #7)— An eventful end of the trip

A storm came through early Saturday morning. It knocked out power for 3 million people in the DC/VA/MD area. Mommy and Daddy were on the second floor and could feel the house sway. When we woke up we didn’t have any power which means we didn’t have water either since the house used a well.

The only tree we saw down on the entire island was blocking our driveway.

Pop’s brother came by with his truck and a chainsaw to help clear it out.

“Those lines? Maybe they’re power lines, maybe they’re not. We’ll go ahead and just assume they’re harmless.”

Manly men.

It was more comfortable to stay outside. Notice Gwynn only has on a diaper. That’s because her outfit exploded due to the heat.

We went over to Uncle Bill’s house to hang out for a bit before we went on to Richmond (and A/C).

Gwynn took a break from playing Angry Birds to pose for a picture.
