Easter Morning

Easter morning came and the kiddos got lots of goodies. We went to Mass and the kids know who Jesus is (Luke knows he died on a cross), but we didn’t take any pictures in church.

Easter Lunch and Egg Hunt

We headed to Columbiana after Mass to eat lunch and have an Easter egg hunt.

The eggs are color coded for each kid so there’s no fighting over eggs and you know when they’ve found them all by how many they have.

Luke has gotten a lot better at finding eggs.

Egg hunt at the library

The North Shelby library had an Easter egg hunt the day before Easter and we decided to go.

They started by loading the kids up with sweets.

Once the door opened it was a bit of a mad house. There were dozens of kids looking for a small number of eggs that weren’t really hidden.

Play date with the Yows

The Yows came over to have a play date at our house and to check out the new playground.

The “big” kids got to ride in the wagon.

IMG_9818

Daddy was lucky enough to pull the “big” kids the half mile to the playground.

IMG_9821

Mary Hubbard was there too but didn’t do as much running and jumping as the other kiddos.

IMG_9823

Emerson and Gwynn opened up their own ice cream stand.

IMG_9825

Not sure where Luke found that ball…

IMG_9826

After the playground it was off to the lake to throw as many rocks into it as possible.

Air Show

We made another trip to the Tuscaloosa air show to see the Blue Angels, but this time it was a little different. It cost money and we paid a little extra for an “air square”. We still got to ride a school bus to the airport, which the kids usually like.

When they’re awake.

We had our own place to sit that was reserved, it was quite fancy.

Luke wouldn’t be able to sleep through this outing.

It was hard to find water to drink at the air show, they mostly sold Mountain Dew and 5 hour energy.
