After Mass in Tuscaloosa we decided to hit up the Krispy Kreme on the way back home.
Luke trying to decide what to get.
Gwynn and Mommy are excited about doughnuts!
Mmm!
The strawberry milk was a nice touch.
Kids just love doughnuts.

A new play place opened up not too far from us. We decided to try it out in case we needed something to do on a rainy day.
A ball pit! You never see these anymore.
Gwynn did this slide about 100 times.
They have a miniature climbing/high wire kind of thing where the kids walk on different obstacles. If they fall a net catches them. They liked wearing the helmets best of all.
A little break for building.
Luke enjoyed the slide too.
While in Tuscaloosa we decided to take a trip to the Lake one Sunday afternoon.
We took several trips on the boat since we had 6 people but not enough room for everyone. Here Grandma and Pop take the kids out on the boat.
Just the boys.
Luke taking a break and contemplating life.
Grandma and Luke wait while the others are out on the boat.
Somebody built the dock a bit too short.
“When do we start skiing?”
Waiting her turn.
“Bye bye!”
Luke liked the boat… as long as it wasn’t going too fast.
Pop set us up with a spot to pick blueberries and the kids once again had a lot of fun. It’s like migrant worker fantasy camp.
Luke got pretty good about picking berries that were ripe, but he wasn’t very good at putting them in the container. Many of them landed in his mouth instead.
“Ah, this one’s no good to keep… I’ll just eat it instead”
Later that day it was time for some fun in the sun. Gwynn was ready.
Luke had a hard time climbing up the slip ‘n’ slide.
Ahh… a pool, it’s cooler in the shade.
As usual we made Gwynn’s actual birthday a special day too.
Meeting Grandma and Pop at church.
Luke is more excited than Gwynn.
We had lunch at Jim n Nick’s which is most everybody’s favorite place to eat.
Luke likes any place where he can eat cupcakes.
Mommy does too.
Luke would prefer Daddy get out of the way so he can tear into the cupcake.
After lunch we made a trip to Treetop for some more fun.
Gwynn wanted to be a winner so she decided to ride with daddy on the go-karts.
Mommy and Luke pulling up the rear.
Luke riding his own vehicle.
Trying to start the kids on a lifelong gambling habit.
They burned lots of energy on the bouncy houses.
Ballin’.
This is, like, straight up gambling.
