So it begins! Sports for the kids. Sportsblast near our house offered soccer for 3 year olds on Sundays and so we decided to jump into it. Daddy was an assistant coach. Each practice would last about an hour with half being skills practice and the other half an unscored game against another team. Of course, Daddy kept score.
Here coach Daddy tries to coax Gwynn into going into the game.
Sometimes Gwynn would participate, sometimes not. Here she’s going full bore.
Contemplating whether or not to continue.
We had several practices and so Pop, Grandma, Mimi, Aunt Jen and anyone else that wanted to come by had a chance.
Gwynn rocking some Oakleys.
Going through some warm up exercises.
Luke and Aunt Jen keeping cool.
Practicing scoring.
Nice follow through.
Luke wants to join in so badly.
Lining up to practice some kicking.
One of our first games. Officially there was no score, but unofficially it was a bloodbath.
Most of the other teams’ kids were professionals. I’m sure of it.
High fives after the first “game”.
This wasn’t a water break – Gwynn was supposed to be playing.
The most effective way of getting Gwynn to play.
Grandma and Mimi intently watching.
During any breaks Luke would jump onto the field so that he could kick the ball around.
Daddy looks on during another brutal loss – helpless to do anything.
End of the season pictures. Gwynn was not a fan of smiling at that moment.
All smiles here.
