Ash Wednesday with Gwynn

Gwynn got to go to Ash Wednesday Mass for the first time (obviously). She did well getting the ashes, but then she got a bit antsy and Daddy had to take her home and feed her. After some food she was quite happy.

Make that REALLY happy.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

We’ve had a great 1st Valentine’s Day with Gwynn!  We woke Daddy up with cards, chocolate, and his favorite snack…Zingers!  Daddy got Mommy a nice box of chocolates.

Happy Valentine’s Day from the Belchers!

It’s getting harder and harder to take Gwynn’s weekly pictures. She moves around so much and wants to get out of the chair to crawl around and play with her toys. We still manage to get some pretty cute pictures each week though!

Swinging

Gwynn loves to swing, but she also loves to lick the ropes of the swing!  (See 2nd picture above).  We usually have to give her a pacifier just to keep her tongue in her mouth! 

7 months old

Once again the time flies by.

• Gwynn can sit herself up in an instant from any position.
• Gwynn can crawl quite well, but she still likes to scoot.
• She can pull herself up to a standing position like a pro. She first did it on her own in her crib one evening and since then climbs up on just about everything, including the couch and mommy and daddy.
• Gwynn loves playing with her playhouse she got for Christmas. She can crawl through the door and get to everything now.
• Gwynn finally has her first teeth…the two bottom ones. She was cranky many days when her teeth hurt and she stopped sleeping through the night for a while, but a few days before she turned 7 months it seems they didn’t bother her anymore and she got back to her schedule.
• Gwynn gets up at 6:00 or so (sometimes a bit earlier) and then takes a long nap around 8:00, then another shorter nap around 2. She eats at 6am, 10am, noon (baby food), 2pm and then we’ll feed her baby food around 6 or 6:30 followed by a bottle before bedtime, which is around 8pm. On the weekends her schedule varies a lot more, but she’s good about when she goes to bed and when she gets up.
• Gwynn loves her puffs. She is good at grabbing them with her thumb and index finger and stuffing them in her mouth.
• Gwynn is more vocal now. She isn’t saying any words, but depending on how talkative she feels she’ll babble what sounds like words (but they’re not).
