Zoolight Safari

We went to Zoolight Safari at the Birmingham Zoo twice this year…once with Brandon, Abbie, and Emerson (when we forgot our camera!) and once with Grandma, Pop, Aunt Jennifer, Aunt Michelle, Uncle Jack, Grace, and Kate (where Pop had his camera thank goodness!).

Great picture by Pop.

The granddaughters that aren’t terrified of Santa.

Gwynn enjoyed running around a bit.

DSC_5334

Luke was not impressed, as usual.

DSC_5335

Only one of these two got the memo to smile.

DSC_5338_1

Miss Gwynn did not miss the memo this time.

Daddy really didn’t want to be in the front for this picture.

Ring the bell if you had fun on the train.

Luke cannot contain his excitement.

Roll Tide!

Thank you Grammy for the Zoo Membership…we know we’ll get a lot of use out of it this year!!

Christmas Eve with Grammy

We went to Grammy’s house on Christmas Eve.

Gwynn has mastered cheesing for the camera.

SANY0080

Gwynn obviously gets her big smile from daddy.

SANY0082

Eyes on the camera, please.

Gwynn got cupcake themed Legos.

Luke working on opening up his presents.

SANY0100

Gwynn threw away her trash without being asked. Problem is, she’ll sometimes throw stuff away that isn’t trash.

Playing with the new toys.

SANY0112

Luke fighting off sleep.

SANY0113

Luke always loses that battle, but he can put up a good fight.

SANY0117

“Rock me to sleep next?”

SANY0118

One present…

Gwynn opened one of her presents a day early. She’s impatient that way, just like her mother.

Our little helper…

Gwynn really is a great big sister. She’ll offer Luke a pacifier and/or blanket if he’s upset and she’ll hand him a bottle at times too.

DSC_9280

She looked to be doing a good job keeping the bottle in his mouth.

DSC_9285

….or so we thought.

The Noons came to visit!

The Noons came to town and dropped by the house.

Gwynn isn’t so sure about this guy yet.

(whispering) “I can’t live without you. Move with me to Paris and we’ll start a new life together”

DSC_9266

Gwynn has got cheesing for a picture down pat.

DSC_9267

Down pat and then some.

DSC_9275

Luke… not so much.

Acting silly…

Gwynn isn’t a big fan of bows, which is unfortunate because without them people think she’s a boy even if she’s wearing a pink shirt and pink shoes.

Today we went a little overboard.

DSC_9220

“I look fabuloooooooous!”

DSC_9221

Santa in our neighborhood!

The local fire department gets Santa to come by our neighborhood each year. We decided to take Gwynn over to check it out.

DSC_9203

We nearly missed it as it was about a 1/2 mile walk to the intersection Santa stopped at.

DSC_9205

DSC_9206

Gwynn is just out of her mind excited.

DSC_9215

“Can we go back now?”

DSC_9216

Not much emotion out of Luke either.
