Fall Fun Fest

Oak Mountain held their annual Fall Fun Fest and we went for our second year in a row.

Scary Luke and Gwynn!

We found Ben!

Luke with the coolest face painting design they had. Very cool.

Batgirl.

Auryn got hers done too.

Cian went with a spider on his arm.

Waiting in line for the cake walk and coke walk.

This is the bag Luke made at the craft table.

Crafts.

Their favorite, Kona Ice. Or as Luke calls it, "Cone of Ice"

More buddies.

Enjoying some of the treats they won on the cake walk.

Playing games.

Oak Mtn Game

Another Oak Mountain game for us, this time it was homecoming.

Obligatory selfie.

There was some tailgating before the game.

Football cookies!

Foooood!

Concessions!

These kids have gotten over their fear of characters in costume. They've gone so far as to harass the Oak Mountain Eagle.

Zoo Rocks

The Zoo had a day where kids could bring in painted rocks and then put them around the zoo for other people to find.

Luke was up a little too early to start on his rock.

Luke's totally, 100% independently created rock with no help at all from anyone whatsoever. Yup. Totally.

Proud of his rock.

Found one.

Not the best hiding spot.

Showing off where he hid his rock.

The kids and their elephants shirts posing with a real elephant.

Quick bite to eat outside the zoo.

Gwynn demonstrating improper carousel riding technique.

Pit stop at Target led to this terrifying image.

Shelby County Fair

We made our annual trip to the Shelby County Fair in Columbiana with Mimi.

The kids love the fishing game best of all.

Well, maybe they liked digging for potatoes more...

Riding on the tractors on display.

"Can't... get... this thing... in gear"

Riding the carousel.

Zoo Trip

We made another one of our zoo trips.

Luke was more excited about the train ride than he appears here.

At Luke's request we played Jedi for a picture.

We've never watched a lion training before but this time we made a point to watch it.

Up close lions are actually pretty terrifying.

Gwynn asking the trainer a question.
