Homecoming Tailgate and Parade

On Saturday, we set up a tailgate at St. Francis and had so much fun hanging out on campus before the big game.
The kids loved it because we ate nothing but junk food all day...

Pop and Mommy went out early with the kids, so we brought some activities to do while we waited for everyone else to join us.
No...we didn't give the kids shots at the tailgate. Aunt Jen thought these mini solo cups were so cute, so she brought some for the kids.

Our tailgate was within walking distance to the parade, so we got there early and set up on the side of University Blvd. to wait on the parade.

We thought Luke was watching the parade...
 Nope! He was asleep!!

Gwynn on the other hand...wide awake!
 Lawn mower/Football Helmet...pretty cool.
 A must at a tailgate...corn hole.
 COOKIE CAKE!

The kids were getting restless, so we decided to walk down the the Natural History Museum.

 Gwynn being goofy.

BAMA Homecoming Bonfire

We decided to take the kids to campus for Homecoming. We knew that they would enjoy seeing the bonfire. Aunt Jen came to town for the weekend too!

Luke was expecting a loud noise when the bonfire started...

 Mesmerized...
Aunt Jen is a sucker so sweet. She bought the kids anything they wanted from the Supe Store on the quad.
Trying on hats while we shopped...

Pretty sure Luke's favorite part of the evening was watching the fire trucks put out the bonfire.

Shelby County Fair

Every year we go to the Shelby County Fair with Mimi. It's one of our favorite traditions and the kids love every second of it!
The kids got to ride some rides by themselves this year. I thought they would be nervous, but they LOVED it!

The carousel is always a hit.
Luke was a little nervous about riding the Ferris wheel, but once he got on he was fine.

We spent a lot of money on these toys...Gwynn got a bear and Luke got a gun.

Cotton candy is a must at the fair!
