Waterpark with Grammy

Since Daddy was working this week, Grammy invited us to go to the waterpark with her and Ava. We went to Spring Valley Beach in Blountsville, AL and it was awesome!  We had the best time!!

Luke really enjoyed all the food we ate. Here he is enjoying some shaved ice.

Gwynn was very independent in the water (which was a little scary). She really enjoyed going down the slides and wanted to go by herself, but Mommy and Grammy knew better!

The waterpark had two little kiddie slides.  Gwynn was so excited when she realized she could slide down these by herself!

Spring Valley Beach

Our fun summer!

We’ve had a lot of fun this summer hanging around the house, going to Tuscaloosa, or finding things to do around Birmingham.

Gwynn used to swing in this swing a lot, but not as much anymore. When she saw Luke having a ball she asked to get in and had a lot of fun herself.

Luke loves climbing onto whatever he can find.

Our kids can put away some calories. Luckily they’re quite active (sometimes much to our chagrin).

Luke won’t eat baby food anymore. If he thinks it’s something we won’t eat he won’t touch it. He even prefers to eat from a fork.

“Okay, nice appetizer. Where’s my steak?”

Anything Gwynn has Luke wants. Here he is trying to get a gogurt from Gwynn.

He’s not bad at sitting at the little table. If only he’d stay in a highchair at a restaurant so well.

Gwynn’s latest trick

Gwynn is a sneaky little devil. No longer are things safe on the counter. She’s figured out how to pull a chair up to things she wants.

Here Gwynn is trying to get a pacifier. It was just barely out of reach even with the chair.

We figured out what she wanted and got it for her.

She quickly figured out that access to the pantry was even better than an endless supply of pacifiers.

Here she is “shopping” for crackers.

“No Luke!”

Once she got the crackers out she shared them with her little brother.

Praying

Luke is a very observant little boy. We always try to pray before every meal and he’s picked up on it. Without us trying to teach him he started folding his hands before we eat.

He interlocks his fingers like a champ!

Sometimes he has to remind us to pray as he’ll fold his hands before eating. He’s reminded us several times.

Best Buddies

Gwynn and Luke are starting to play much better together and are enjoying one another’s company more and more.

Gwynn does a good job sharing with Luke most of the time. She’ll even break up crackers for him if they’re too big.

She likes to put food on his high chair during meals.
