Aunt Jen came to town to run the Mercedes Half-Marathon while Grace and Kate ran the kids marathon (a 1 mile race). We were ready to cheer them on.
Aunt Jen volunteered to run with the Kate as prep for her race.
It ended up being pretty blustery. Daddy had to hold onto Luke so he wouldn’t blow away.
After the race we all went out for lunch and the cousins decided to have some fun jumping off of the stairs on the way back to the car.
We took the family to a pancake breakfast to benefit the Exceptional Foundation in Homewood.
Luke was excited. Also pictured is Daddy cutting up Gwynn’s pancakes.

The kids often ask to have a sleep over in one another’s room. Oftentimes we say “no” because they just play and stay up way too late and we don’t want to deal with it. But they’re cute so sometimes we let them. Like we did last night.

Our local YMCA branch doesn’t have an indoor pool but they have a inflatable bubble they use when it gets cold.

We took a trip to the botanical gardens on what continued to be a mild weekend for early February.
Luke fell asleep in the car and didn’t wake up much for most of the trip.

We had a mild weekend and decided to go to Oak Mountain to visit the outdoors. Of course, that means KFC in the Belcher family. Lots and lots of KFC.
Hugging helps burn off the calories from all that KFC.
The park installed a new playground which we enjoyed for the first time.
