Our little launderer

We are in a perpetual state of laundering at the Belcher home with two women and a fashion savvy daddy. On Wednesday Gwynn decided to help us fold some laundry – to mixed results.

“Hey, you have some nicely folded clothes. I’ll fix that for you”

“There is no baby food on this anymore! What did you do with it?!?”

On the move

Gwynn is quite the mover. When she sees something she wants, she goes to get it. If we put one of our iPhones on the floor she moves twice as fast.

Happy Birthday Pop!

For Pop’s birthday this year Gwynn made him a special present (with a little help from Mommy and Daddy). It’s a picture frame with Gwynn spelling out “I (heart) Pop.”

6 months

Wow…this past 6 months has flown by. I can’t believe Gwynn is 6 months old! We have truly been blessed with the best baby ever. We have our doctor’s appointment on January 16th, so the stats will come later.

  • Gwynn is getting to be very mobile. She can scoot anywhere she wants to go. Putting her on a blanket and going to cook dinner is a thing of the past! She uses her arm to pull herself across the floor to something that interests her (usually the remote control, an iPhone, or the camera…not the hundreds of toys she has). When she sees something she wants across the room she’ll start panting and make a beeline for it. We’ll post a video soon…it is precious.
  • We put away the bouncy seat and swing to make room for all of the new toys Gwynn got for Christmas. She wasn’t really into bouncing or swinging anymore anyway…she doesn’t really like to be strapped into anything anymore!
  • She is trying a wide variety of foods now. I still make her fruit and some veggies, but we’ve started her on organic baby food from the store too. Her favorite is Garden Vegetables with Pasta…yum!
  • Gwynn still has no teeth…we’ve been saying this awhile now, but we expect them to pop out any day.
  • She is sitting up completely independently now…we just have to sit her up. She is very close to going from lying down to sitting though.
  • If we stand her up, Gwynn will hold on to the couch or the side of the crib and support herself.
  • Gwynn’s sleeping habits are still great! She got a little messed up with the Christmas traveling, but now we are right back on schedule. We usually put her down around 8 and she gets up around 6. It’s wonderful!
  • Gwynn has to be the happiest baby around. She is rarely fussy (only when her teeth are bothering her or she’s hungry). It doesn’t take much to make her giggle and laugh and she smiles at anyone she sees (strangers in the grocery store love her!).
